Thoreau (3rd-5th Grade)

January 29, 2012: The Thoreau Class ran a "Big Shoes" relay race.

January 29, 2012: More racing.

January 29, 2012: The teachers even get into the act!
The 3rd-5th graders are using "Timeless Themes." They will
be introduced to the religious literature which is central to our culture
and to our heritage as Unitarian Universalists.
Becoming familiar with these Bible stories will help our
children to better understand this heritage. Their setting, social customs,
and scientific knowledge may seem outdated, but their vital core of beliefs
and values continue to be important...love for one's neighbor, the prophetic
imperative to speak out against injustice, respect for the beliefs of
others, belief in a transcendent power, etc.
