Publicity/Publications Committee

Our Publicity/Publications Committee is responsible for promoting our church and its events to the larger Columbia and Boone County community and beyond. Committee functions include:

• Providing information to the general public and the media about our congregation and Unitarian Universalist philosophy and beliefs in general

• Helping formulate responses to inquiries received from the media

• Contributing photos and information to help maintain and enhance church website and providing advice and assistance to the webmaster

• Alerting news media to church events by assisting with the development and dissemination of information to the media

• Assisting with writing and editing press releases, articles, and the brochures of other committees and taking on other technical and/or editorial assignments

• Assisting in the publication of our church Newsletter

Maria Oropallo is the 2011-12 chair of the Public Relations Committee.
