UU Life Writers Group
"A person's experiences of life are a book. There
was never yet an uninteresting life. Such a thing is an impossibility.
Inside the dullest exterior there is a drama, a comedy, a tragedy."
– From Mark Twain's notebook
and "The Refuge of the Derelicts"
In 2011-12, the UU Life Writers' Group began its 12th year together writing dramas, comedies and tragedies and
combinations of the three. Previous writing experience is not a prerequisite
– just the desire to write one's own life
stories – and have the opportunity to share with
others.
Then, maybe, just maybe, rewrite, edit
and publish (not a requisite!). Participants do not have to be grammar gurus or published or accomplished writers to take part in this non-critical group.
Just bring your favorite writing tools,
journal, or paper, and come prepared to write.
The group meets in the Centering Room
downstairs at the church from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the first and
third Saturdays of each month (except January and February) during the
regular September-May church year, and sometimes the meetings continue into June.
If child care or further information
is needed please contact Fran Reynolds at 443-4336 or
email.
