chruch at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2012.
Members and friends of the church are invited. There will
be no entrance fee.

Baby Shower - March 3, 2012
There will be a baby shower for Sarah and Mark Ditzler at
the church on Saturday afternoon, March 3, 2012, at 3:00 p.m.

Concert - March 15, 2012
Jazz Lab invites everyone to a concert and fundraiser at
the church for
the UUCC operating budget at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2012.
Mental Health
First Aid Workshop - Friday-Saturday, March 16-17, 2012
Someone you know may be experiencing a mental illness or
crisis. You can help.
You are more likely to encounter a friend, family member
or colleague experiencing a mental illness or crisis than someone
experiencing a heart attack. Mental Health First Aid teaches a five-step
action plan to offer initial help to people with signs and symptoms of a
mental illness or crisis and connect them to appropriate professional, peer,
social, or self care. Anyone can take the 12-hour course and learn how to
offer first aid to prevent suicide, help someone access help, and
appropriately offer help and support. Sometimes the best first aid is YOU.
Take the course. Save a life. Strengthen our community.
Register today and bring your friends. This training is open to all in the
Columbia community.
Mental Health First Aid, sponsored by the UU Peace
Building Team, will be offered by Christy Hutton, Ph.D., and Sharon Thomas
Parks, LPC, on Friday, March 16, 2012 from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. (dinner from
5:30 to 6:00 p.m.) and on Saturday, March 17 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Lunch
will be provided. Registration is required by March 2.

There is a registration fee of $25 to cover costs. We will meet in the
church Sanctuary. For more information about the training visit

Farewell
Celebration for Rev. Redfern-Campbell - Sunday, May 27, 2012
Next Summer Rev. Sue Redfern-Campbell, our interim minister, will
move to her next life adventure after two years of service to our church.
Mark your calendars now for Rev. Sue’s Farewell Celebration on Sunday, May
27, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Dates and times for meetings to plan the celebration will
be announced.
