About Us Overview

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbia, Missouri, is a member congregation of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA), headquartered in Boston, and one of 79 congregations in the UUA's Central Midwest District (CMWD), headquartered in Evanston, IL.

Unitarian Universalism has a rich and long history which traces back 400+ years. We are a liberal religion with Jewish-Christian-Humanist roots. We have no creed. We affirm the integrity and worth of all human beings, we advocate freedom of belief and the search for advancing truth, and we do this in a warm, open, supportive community for people who believe that ethical living is the supreme witness of religion.
